Kim  Soonim  creates  works  that  are  inspired  by  the  dialogue  with  nature  and intentionally avoids excessive human interference. Based on the natural environment, Kim explored the life philosophy that is embedded in all living things. Throughout this residence. Kim maintains this method and collects ordinary objects from the bustling city, such as random leaves on the pavement, which are then woven into poetic works  that  express  profound  meaning  and  display  a  unique  handmade  quality through repeating gestures. Through weaving, individual leaves are linked together, symbolling  the  accidental  connection  between  lives  while  also  hinting  at  the metaphor of the relationship between communities and individuals. As time goes by, the  leaves  gradually  turn  brown,  conveying  the  hidden  message  within  without redundant language and leaving room for interpretation of the viewers.
