_Artist note

2010년 부산 기장에서 장화 신고 모종삽 들고 할아버지 농사를 돕겠다고 나선 꼬마 주은의 빛나는 미소... 2014년에 작업하다가 꼬마새가 작업실에 날아와 주은의 머리 에서 양털을 뽑아갔다. 새가 해 놓은 조각이 너무 맘에 들어 그대로 작업을 멈추었다 가, 2018년 타이페이에서 마무리 한다. 오른쪽 머리부분을 그대로 풀어, 새가 했던대 로 두었더니... 아련하면서도 귀한, 사라지기 쉬운 아름다운 기억같다.

The bright smile of a child named Ju Eun who came to help her grandfather tend his farm while wearing boots and holding a garden trowel in Gijang, Busan in 2010— a little bird flew into the studio and picked wool from her hair while I was working on it in 2014. I loved the sculpture made by the bird, so I paused the project and completed it in Taipei in 2018.

I untied the right side of the head and left it the way that the bird had arranged it. It resembles a beautiful memory, dimly visible in the past yet likely to disappear in the future.
